This was G.A.S.S.P.s second investigation at the New Hope Cemetery located in New Hope Georgia. The investigation was thrown a curve ball very early on while we were still in the process of setting up due to a guest that arrived. To keep his identity private we will simply call him the vagrant. This vagrant followed one of our female investigators from a store nearby to the cemetery. He claimed to have vast knowledge of the area and the hauntings around it. He also claimed to be a druid that could see dead people and could bring them out while playing his 12 string guitar that only had six strings. We did find out the next day that this vagrant had a long violent criminal history. This vagrant ended up staying with us almost the full investigation and because of this we ended up leaving the site much earlier than planned. Even though this person would not be quiet and tried to make the whole thing about him and his great supernatural power, we did happen to catch a few EVPs and a video of a shadow person. The reason I even bring this person up is because of the way things played out that night. It seemed the EVPs which were recorded had something to do with or about this individual. As these EVPs where recorded we got a EMF spike of 560 m Gauss , the base line for this area was 020 m Gauss. There are no electric lines or power sources in this area. Some EVPs recorded were when the vagrant talked. Although we could not hear this at the time, another darker voice would speak at the same time saying the same thing as he did. Another odd thing that happened is when you would try to view the vagrant on camera, the screen would go black or a shadow would cover his face; this was even before the sun went down.  There was also a voice of a woman that kept coming up around this vagrant. At one point after another investigator had arrived, the vagrant tried to get a female investigator to go down a trail from the cemetery into the woods. At the time we recorded an EVP of a male and female voice saying, “Devil, run”, followed by another spirit saying, “What”. From what we found about this vagrant his history of crime was related to harming woman and sexual assault. We even uncovered a news article from five years ago, where the vagrant and two others were arrested for attacking a couple.  The vagrant claims to roam the Paulding county area and comes to this cemetery and High Shoals Falls at night very often. He says that High Shoals is his coven’s ritual spot, so be aware of this if investigating these areas.

New Hope cemetery is a place that doesn’t disappoint in the world of the paranormal. Each time we have visited this place it seems different from the last. A cemetery that is rich with history and death.
